In the Lahiri sidereal zodiac used for Vedic charts, Venus retraces Tula, then returns to Kanya on 6 November. It turns direct in Kanya and re-enters Tula on 22 November. If another article says Scorpio and Libra, check whether it uses the tropical zodiac before comparing its dates with this one.

Times are rounded calendar references. Independent ephemeris calculations agree on the dates and within a few minutes on the stations. The retrograde lasts about six weeks. It is one continuous interval, not two separate retrogrades when Venus changes sign.
For readers in North America, the direct station is 13 November at about 7:27 pm in New York and 4:27 pm in Los Angeles. Those are the same instant as 14 November in India. This is why searches for the end date return both 13 and 14 November.

Tula is a sign owned by Shukra. Kanya is its traditional debilitation sign. Those are sign dignities. Retrograde motion is a separate condition. A planet can be retrograde in its own sign, retrograde in its debilitation sign, or direct in either one. Combining those labels into a single verdict such as "Venus is weak all month" loses the distinction.

Why Western astrology gives Scorpio and Libra
Sidereal and tropical charts use different starting points for the zodiac. In October and November 2026, the gap is about 24 degrees. Moving the reference point changes the sign label even though both charts describe the same planet at the same moment.
This article uses Tula and Kanya because the site's birth charts use Lahiri sidereal positions. A tropical article describes the corresponding Scorpio-to-Libra retrograde. Neither set of sign names should be pasted into the other system's house table.

The Kanya column continues after the direct station because Venus remains in that sign until 22 November. The retrograde ends on 14 November; the Kanya transit ends later. The two end dates answer different questions.

A worked example: Mesh Moon versus Tula Moon
Take a chart whose Moon is in Mesh. Count Mesh as one, Vrishabh as two and continue to Tula as seven. Venus in Tula therefore transits the seventh house from that Moon. When Venus returns to Kanya, the count becomes six. When it returns to Tula on 22 November, the count becomes seven again.
For a Tula Moon, the same sky produces a different count. Tula is the first house from the Moon and Kanya the twelfth. No planetary date has changed. The reference point in the natal chart has changed.

Does Venus retrograde mean a breakup or an ex returning?
No calendar date can establish either outcome. In traditional Jyotish, Shukra signifies attraction, partnership, pleasure, art and comforts. That symbolism explains why retrograde articles often discuss revisiting relationships or preferences. It does not prove that everyone will experience the same relationship event.

Avoid treating a message from an old partner, a change in taste or a disagreement as proof of a planetary cause. The useful question is what actually needs discussing or deciding in that situation.
Venus and Mercury overlap in late October
Budha's final retrograde of 2026 runs from 24 October to 13 November in IST, overlapping most of the remaining Shukra retrograde. Mercury and Venus turn direct about a day apart in the Indian calendar. They are different events involving different planets.
