A kundali on this site has two layers. The first is astronomy: where each graha stood, in which sign and nakshatra, at the moment and place of birth. That layer is calculated and can be checked. The second is interpretation: what the tradition says those positions mean. That layer is a reading, not a fact. This page explains where one ends and the other begins, and what that means for how you use what you read here.
1. What is calculated, and how accurately
Planetary positions, houses, nakshatras, dashas, panchanga elements and festival dates are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris, a high-precision astronomical library, using the Lahiri ayanamsha and the mean lunar node. For a correct birth date, time and place, the positions are accurate to a small fraction of a degree.
The result is only as good as the birth time. The lagna moves about one degree every four minutes, so an error of ten minutes can change the lagna, the house of every graha and the dasha balance. Other almanacs may show times that differ by a few minutes, or a date that differs by a day near midnight, because they use another ayanamsha, the true node, or another time zone. Our articles state the method and the time zone they use.
Festival, tithi and muhurat times are computed for the city you choose. Your local temple, family priest or regional calendar may follow a different rule for the same observance, and in matters of practice their guidance should come first.
2. What the readings are
Vedic astrology (Jyotish) is a traditional system of interpretation, not a science, and not a prediction of events. Classical texts and living schools disagree on many rules, from the houses that count for Mangal Dosha to whether Kaal Sarp Dosh exists at all; where a page follows one convention, it says so. A reading describes tendencies for reflection. Nothing on this site guarantees or promises an outcome.
3. Not professional advice
Nothing here is medical, psychological, legal, financial or relationship advice. Do not use a chart or a transit to decide whether or when to have a medical procedure, take or stop a medicine, sign a contract, invest, borrow, marry or end a marriage. Consult a qualified doctor, lawyer, financial adviser or counsellor for those decisions. If you are in a medical or mental health crisis, contact a professional or your local emergency services immediately.
4. The AI Jyotish
The AI Jyotish writes its answers automatically from your calculated chart. It can misread a chart or state something with more confidence than the chart supports. It is designed never to prescribe remedies such as mantras, gemstones, pujas or rituals; questions about remedies belong with a qualified astrologer you choose. Treat every AI answer as a starting point, and check anything important with a person.
5. Errors and corrections
We check articles against the ephemeris and against the classical texts they cite, and we still make mistakes. When we find one, or a reader reports one, we correct the page and list the change on our corrections page. To report an error, write to contact@aivedickundali.com with the page address and what you believe is wrong.
6. Advertising and outside links
Public pages and the Android app may show ads served by Google. We do not choose the individual ads, and an ad for a gemstone, a puja service, an astrologer or any other product is not a recommendation from us. Links to other websites are provided for reference; we are not responsible for their content.
