Janma Kundali

A birth chart computed from the real sky, not a simplified table.

A Janma Kundali is a record of where every graha stood at the moment and place you were born. Get the arithmetic wrong and everything downstream, every dasha, every transit reading, every match score, is wrong with it.

Charts here are computed with the Swiss Ephemeris under Drik Siddhanta, the observational method, with the Lahiri (Chitrapaksha) ayanamsha that is standard across India and Nepal. Positions match the actual sky rather than an almanac approximation.

What you get

The North Indian kundali

The diamond chart with all nine grahas placed by house and sign, retrogrades marked, and drishti you can trace by tapping a graha.

Divisional charts

The vargas, including the navamsa (D9) used for marriage and for judging the real strength of a graha behind its rashi position.

Shadbala

Six-fold planetary strength, so a graha is measured rather than guessed at from its sign alone.

Yogas and doshas

Named combinations present in your chart are detected automatically, along with Mangal dosha and Kaal Sarp, and each links to a full explanation.

Varshaphal

The annual chart, for reading a specific year rather than the life as a whole.

What it will not do

A chart is only as good as the birth time you give it. The lagna moves roughly one sign every two hours, so an hour of error can change the entire house structure. If your time is uncertain, treat the house-based readings as provisional.

Questions

Is the birth chart free?

Yes. Generating your Janma Kundali, including the divisional charts and yoga detection, is free.

Which ayanamsha do you use?

Lahiri (Chitrapaksha), the standard sidereal zodiac in India and Nepal, computed with the Swiss Ephemeris under Drik Siddhanta.

Why is my Vedic sign different from my Western one?

Jyotish uses the sidereal zodiac and Western astrology uses the tropical one. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, so your Vedic sign is usually the one before your Western sign.

What if I do not know my birth time?

You can still read the Chandra rashi, nakshatra and dasha, which do not depend on the ascendant. House-based conclusions will not be reliable.
