Real charts: 307 distinct master kundalis saved on this site (duplicates of the same person removed, no personal data used). Baseline: 10,000 births drawn uniformly between 1960 and 2010 and cast by our Swiss Ephemeris engine (Lahiri ayanamsha) at Kathmandu, so each figure can be compared with what chance alone produces. Generated 2026-09-17.
Lagna (ascendant) by sign
The lagna is the sign rising in the east at birth. It is not evenly distributed: at Kathmandu's latitude some signs rise in under an hour and others take more than two, and births cluster by time of day.

Moon sign (rashi)
The Moon changes sign every two and a quarter days, so over decades its sign is close to uniform. Departures in the real set are sampling noise plus the site's audience.

The most common conjunctions
Two grahas in one sign. Sun with Mercury and Sun with Venus lead everywhere because those planets never stray far from the Sun; the interesting numbers are the slow pairs, which mark a generation.

Over-represented pairs (generation effect)
- Mercury + Rahu: 12.7% of real charts against 7.7% by chance (1.6 times).
- Jupiter + Saturn: 19.2% of real charts against 11.7% by chance (1.6 times).
- Jupiter + Ketu: 12.4% of real charts against 8.3% by chance (1.5 times).
- Sun + Ketu: 11.4% of real charts against 8.2% by chance (1.4 times).
- Venus + Saturn: 12.1% of real charts against 8.8% by chance (1.4 times).
Most users here were born between 1995 and 2006, when Jupiter and Saturn met in Vrishabha (2000 to 2001); that one sky event shows up as a whole cohort carrying the pair.
Where each graha sits: planets by house
Percentage of real charts with each graha in each house from the lagna. Read across a row to see where a planet tends to land; the darker the cell, the more common.

Retrograde at birth
Share of charts with each graha retrograde. Jupiter and Saturn are retrograde about a third of the time; Mars and Venus rarely.

Method and limits
- Real set: every master kundali saved on aivedickundali.com as of 2026-09-17, reduced to one row per distinct chart. Only sign, house, retrograde flag, nakshatra and tithi were read; no names, dates, places or account data.
- Baseline: 10,000 instants drawn uniformly between 1 January 1960 and 31 December 2010 with a fixed random seed, positions from the Swiss Ephemeris (Lahiri, mean node), lagna computed for Kathmandu (27.72 N, 85.32 E), houses by whole sign.
- Manglik uses the house rule only (Mars in 1, 4, 7, 8 or 12 from the lagna), without cancellations. Sade Sati uses Saturn's 2026 sign.
- The real set is small (307) and skewed toward people born 1995 to 2006 in Nepal and India; treat differences under about five points as noise.
