When Surya + Shukra + Ketu (Sun + Venus + Ketu) share a sign, a yuti, the chart fuses Sun’s the soul, authority and vital life-force, Venus’s love, beauty and the pleasures of life and Ketu’s detachment, spirituality and liberation, and here all of it works through the 2nd house (Dhana), the house of wealth, family, speech and the resources you gather (Maraka; natural sign Taurus).

Sun, Venus and Ketu in the 2nd house: the reading
Venus is well placed in the 2nd house, the Sun gives mixed results there and Ketu is strained there, so Venus leads the trio here. Inside the trio, Sun and Venus do best here: Money and pleasure meet in the 2nd house: wealth through arts, beauty, luxury goods or entertainment, a pleasant voice, an attractive face and a taste for fine food and clothes. Sun and Ketu are the pair to watch: Ketu with the Sun in the house of wealth loosens the grip on money and family: the native earns but does not cling, may lose or renounce assets, and speaks little or in an unusual way.
When it works
- Wealth from artistic or refined trades and a charming voice
- A comfortable, well-appointed family life
- Detachment from money; contentment with less
- Depth in research, healing or spiritual income
What needs care
- Extravagance for the sake of admiration
- Vanity that irritates the family
- Losses through indifference
- Estrangement from the family or a weak family bond
